Our School Counseling Program

At Rowena Chess, we believe in nurturing the holistic development of our students. Our school counseling program, led by Ms. Mercado, is designed to be proactive, preventative, and developmental. We are dedicated to providing essential support to our students, addressing their academic, personal, and social-emotional needs.

The Role of the School Counselor

Similar to other subjects in school, students are expected to meet specific school counseling standards set by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA). These standards are designed to help students develop essential life skills and competencies that will serve them well throughout their educational journey and beyond.
