A Warm Welcome to the School Year!

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year. My name is Amy Kohn, and I am honored to be the Principal of Rowena Chess. I have been in education for 18 years, serving as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, Assistant Principal, Principal, and Assistant Director of State and Federal Programs. I am excited to be the Principal of Rowena Chess for the 2024-2025 school year!

As we embark on this new chapter together, I want to share a few thoughts with you. First and foremost, my priority is to foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every student feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential. I am committed to upholding high academic standards while also nurturing the social and emotional growth of our students.

I firmly believe that effective communication and partnerships between home and school are crucial to the success of our students. I welcome your input, ideas, and feedback. Together, we can create a learning community where our children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Together, we can make a positive difference in the lives of our students.

As we prepare to start this exciting new school year, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for your continued support and partnership. With your help, I am confident that we will make this year a truly memorable and successful one for our students.
